About Me

My name is Aaron Patrick, and I’m making this blog as part of my English 495 class. I’m an English Literature major, and, needless to say, I love reading. The manga series Umineko: When They Cry and Bokurano: Ours, even though it’s been multiple years since I first read them, are pieces of fiction that I cannot stop myself from thinking about to this day, although newer series like Made in Abyss are also phenomenal reads. I also watch TV and movies, with The Truman Show, 12 Angry Men, and Oldboy (2003) being ones I hold close to my heart. In addition, I watch anime with Katanagatari and Hunter x Hunter being some of my favorites. I am constantly listening to music, with bands like The White Stripes, Gorillaz, and Death Grips being bands I constantly listen to. Outside of passive media, I play a pretty decent amount of video games, with notable series being Super Smash Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Dark Souls, of which I play Smash Bros. competitively. I also play table tennis when I can even though, in the grand scale of things, I’m not great at it. As far as my hobbies go, that’s about it until they start counting watching YouTube as a hobby.
